"Houses built decades ago don't see any future works unless being renovated or developed," says Joel Mackinnon, "and with the rise in costs of energy bills, you can't afford to have a home that is losing energy to the atmosphere".

Director/Head of InstallationsJoel and Josh have spent many years working together, and they both agree on one thing: although design standards change over time to make homes more energy and thermally efficient it doesn't mean your home is too.
"We have found that as building standards change what was once state of the art materials ends up costing a lot of money and comfort in the long run," says Joel Mackinnon, the company's head of sales. It is in his opinion that it is always worthwhile to keep up to date and renew insulation especially in older and period homes.
"Some of the properties we have been to, using blow in foam, have degraded so badly its almost like no insulation at all," adds Josh Fawcett, "and the difference when we are done is remarkable to our clients."
As a team, ThermaHome has reinsulated over a few hundred homes over the years and are looking forward to helping make yours more comfortable.
